4th Edition...meh

It's a good time to talk about D&D's alignment. If your not aware, folks around the world are tore up about Will Smith's recent comments about Hitler. I don't know the exact quote but it was something along the lines of, "I don't think Hitler got up each day and said, "I am going to do very evil things today." No I think he got up each day thinking he was doing good." Bam that's Lawful evil; At least the way I think of it. Alignment gets all it's power from the fact that any real life situation can be sumed up by an alignment. However, the changing of the system has me worried. More and more each day folks are putting morale decisions into simple, "Good" and "Evil" categories. Nothing will ever be that simple, no matter how hard they try to force it.

That got me thinking about my own alignment. I guess the young man beneath the crown is neutral good. In fact I think most Americans fit that alignment. I would like to be chaotic. Life would be far more interesting. The thing about America though, is we are an extremely lawful nation. There just is not a lot of room for chaotic individuals. Kind of ironic being that we call ourselves "Home of the Brave, land of the free." Whats worse is neutral alignments change with the wind. A real 50/50 split of Law and chaos. Makes folks primed for manipulation. Simplifying alignment in 4th edition in my mind is a subtle attempt to dumb down a smart game. And thats just too damn bad!

Oh alright already......

I'm gonna give this a go because my D.C. Bro decided to start blogging. Look here

In the news, (well not really but I had one hell of a time spending my night at work looking for the story) Ron Paul's tea party money bomb was a record breaking success. I guess making 6 million dollars in donations in 24 hours doesn't count as news for Rupert's Faux. Of course if Rudy "911 man" did it you couldn't get wallbanger Hannity to take his dick out of his mouth.
Ron Paul did it again!

Ever heard of no knock warrants? Neither has Vang Khang who acted as anyone should in such an ordeal. Full story here.

Thats about it for now. Stay tuned for Dady Warbuxxx top 100 films of all time.

A film daddy likes?

Hey I went to the new movie plex out in Roseville by the mall last Monday. They really did not know what they were doing. First of all they should have made two entrances. One would be connected to the mall and another from the back outside. The only boxoffice is outside at a window with no canopy. I understand that it is hard to round everyone inside because of space, but for gods sake put up a cover from the elements. I have no problem with cold temps but many will complain about standing outside waiting. This oversight is going to cost them huge in the future. Then again they will just juice folks for their admission to pay for their grievances with the establishment. Nine bucks for off matinee films you can almost buy it when released on DVD. Otherwise its a beautiful building with all the bells and whistles like imitation butter sludge pumps. Comfy seating too.

The movie I saw was children of Men. The movie had Clive Owen and Juileanne Moore. It also had the guy who played the operative in Serenity and other stuff IM sure. Anyways this film takes place in England twenty years in the future where women across the globe have become infertile and no more children are being born. The governments fight hard to maintain order by creating refugee camps for non complaints and foreigners. In the middle of battles between the establishment and the uprising there is a women who has become pregnant and she is desperately seeking a human rights group to help her bring the baby into the world and find a cure for the infertility. Excellent writing and plot line here based on a book by P. D. James. I really enjoyed the film it went by fast and had incredible action sequences throughout. Great dystopian style story that has become popular over the years. Daddy says see it now or for sure when released to DVD.
